Memorial Day 2023

Image of an eagle flying in the sky with the words Honoring Our soldiers' sacrifice because freedom is never free. Memorial Day 2023

Memorial Day is May 29, 2023, and is a time to honor those currently serving and who have served in the military. It’s also a day to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom in giving their lives.

Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me. ~Isaiah 49: 15-16

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.~Colossians 2:8

Celebrating All Women

Mother’s Day is a special day when we honor mothers and we thank God for them. This Mother’s Day, let’s honor all women; especially women of faith. God bless all women, young and old alike, from all walks of life, who desire to be godly women.

Below are just a few verses from Proverbs 31:

“An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her and he will have no lack of gain.” Verses 10-11

“She rises also while it is still night, and gives food to her household and portions to her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard. She girds herself with strength, and makes her arm strong. She senses that her gain is good; her lamp does not go out at night.” Verses 15-18

“She extends her hand to the poor; and stretches out her hand to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.” Verses 20-21

“Strength and dignity are her clothing and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also and he praises her…” Verses 25-28

He Has Risen!

1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

8 And they remembered his words,

9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
