And the Word became Flesh

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

John 1:14: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Luke 2:11: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Luke 2:10: “And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.'”

Christmas Dinner Prayer

Father God,  On this joyful Christmas Day, we thank You for the incredible gift of Your Son, Jesus, whose birth we celebrate.

Bless this meal we are about to share. May it nourish our bodies and remind us of Your endless love and grace. Thank You for the hands that prepared it and for the abundance of blessings You have poured into our lives.

We are especially grateful for the gift of family and the love that surrounds this table. Thank You for the relationships that bring us joy and connection. May our time together be filled with laughter, warmth, and cherished memories.

We also lift up those in need today. Surround them with Your love and care, and guide us to show compassion and generosity to others, just as You have shown to us.

As we gather, let Your spirit of giving and kindness shine through us, and may the love of Christ fill our hearts and our home.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Give Thanks to the Lord

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our wonderful family and friends! In this special season of giving thanks, Psalm 136 reminds us of the One whose lovingkindness endures forever….

His Lovingkindness Endures Forever

1 Give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

To Him who alone does great [a]wonders,
For His lovingkindness endures forever;
To Him who made the heavens with [b]skill,
For His lovingkindness endures forever;
To Him who spread out the earth above the waters,
For His lovingkindness endures forever;
To Him who made the great lights,
For His lovingkindness endures forever:
The sun to rule [c]by day,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
The moon and stars to rule [d]by night,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

10 To Him who struck [e]the Egyptians through their firstborn,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
11 Then brought Israel out from their midst,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
12 With a strong hand and an outstretched arm,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

13 To Him who divided the [f]Red Sea in two,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
14 And made Israel pass through the midst of it,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
15 But He [g]overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the [h]Red Sea,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

16 To Him who led His people through the wilderness,
For His lovingkindness endures forever;

17 To Him who struck great kings,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
18 And killed [i]mighty kings,
For His lovingkindness endures forever:
19 Sihon, king of the Amorites,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
20 And Og, king of Bashan,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
21 And gave their land as an inheritance,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
22 Even an inheritance to Israel His servant,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

23 Who remembered us in our low estate,
For His lovingkindness endures forever,
24 And has snatched us from our adversaries,
For His lovingkindness endures forever;
25 Who gives food to all flesh,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
26 Give thanks to the God of heaven,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
