For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. ~Galatians 5:13 [NLT]

The 4th of July here in the United States is typically a day filled with barbecues, fireworks, and gathering with friends and family to celebrate our independence as a nation. More importantly, it’s a time to thank God and praise Him for all the freedoms He has blessed us with.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. ~ Psalm 33:12 [KJV]

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. ~ Galatians 5:1 [NKJV]
